1. Data Collection and Storage

EZ Cart is designed to function entirely locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account. When you track a product, the product's title, price, URL, and image are stored strictly in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). We do not transmit, upload, or store your tracked items on any external servers.

2. Use of Permissions

To function correctly, EZ Cart requires specific browser permissions:

activeTab & Scripting: Used only when you explicitly click the "Add Current Item" button to fetch the product title, price, and image from the page you are currently viewing.
host permissions (<all_urls>): Used in the background to fetch updated prices for the items you have saved when you click the "Update" button.
storage & unlimitedStorage: Used to securely save your list and image thumbnails locally on your hard drive.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

Because we do not collect your personal data or shopping lists, we cannot and do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. If you click a "Buy Now" link, you will be redirected to the respective retailer. We may use affiliate link wrappers (such as Skimlinks) to monetize outbound clicks, but this does not grant us access to your personal information or purchasing history.

4. Your Rights

Because all data lives on your device, you have complete control over it. You can delete individual items using the "X" button in the extension, or erase all data entirely by uninstalling the EZ Cart extension.
